CA PROP 65 PHTHALATE WIPE TEST

Phthalates are frequently targeted by Prop 65 enforcers. Because Proposition 65 limits are based on the amount of exposure, the fact that a material tests positive for one or more of the phthalate compounds does not necessarily mean the amount is in exceedance of the established levels.

The data from this test may be used by a certified toxicologist in an exposure assessment, to determine if the user will reasonably be exposed to an amount of the chemical which exceeds the safe harbor limit, specifically the “No Significant Risk Levels” (NSRLs) and/or “Maximum Allowable Dose Levels” (MADLs).

TTL Laboratories maintains ISO 17025:2017 accreditation for the surface wipe test analysis for the phthalate compounds listed under Proposition 65.

Method: TTL16 (In-house, EPA 8270D)
